Discover How Far You and Your Horse Can Progress Through Work in Hand
From the first exercises in halt and walk to all lateral movements, the working pirouette in trot, and collected trot and canter in hand.
With the complete Work in Hand programme, you will learn step by step how to help your horse become more supple, stronger, and better balanced from the ground.
You will not only learn how to perform different exercises. You will learn to observe your horse's body, recognise where they lose their balance, and understand which exercise you can use to help them progress.
This gives you a complete training method that you and your horse can continue to develop with for a lifetime.
Even if you have not yet started the free mini-course.
YES, I WANT TO CONTINUE WITH WORK IN HAND
Haven't Started Yet?
You Can Simply Begin at the Beginning
Perhaps you followed all the lessons over the past seven days and have already practised with your horse.
But perhaps you only watched a few videos. Or maybe you wanted to begin, but because of a lack of time, the weather, or other circumstances, you did not get around to it at all.
That does not mean Work in Hand is not right for you.
You signed up for the mini-course for a reason. There is something about Work in Hand that appeals to you. Perhaps you want to help your horse become more supple, improve their balance, strengthen them from the ground, or better understand what they need in their body.
During the free mini-course, you received a new lesson every day. This meant you needed to have enough time during that particular week to watch the lessons and practise them.
With the complete programme, that time pressure disappears.
The first seven lessons are part of the complete programme. You can simply begin again with the first lesson, but this time the lessons will not disappear.
You have not missed anything, and there is nothing you need to catch up on.
You do not have to have started already to decide that this is something you want to learn.
Learn How to Help Your Horse More Effectively from the Ground
Imagine not only seeing that your horse is losing their balance, falling onto one shoulder, or swinging their hindquarters inwards, but also understanding why it happens and what you can do about it.
Imagine learning to feel how a small change in your position, direction of movement, or aids influences the way your horse moves.
And imagine seeing your horse gradually:
✔️ move more evenly and with greater suppleness;
✔️ learn to use both sides of their body more effectively;
✔️ find better balance on circles and straight lines;
✔️ place their hind legs further underneath their body;
✔️ become stronger and develop greater carrying power;
✔️ and respond to your aids with increasing lightness.
What begins with a few simple exercises in halt and walk can gradually develop into a complete gymnastic training method.
Not because you suddenly ask your horse to perform difficult exercises, but because every new step builds on what you and your horse have already developed together.
From the First Foundations to Collection in Hand
In the complete programme, I guide you through the entire progression of Work in Hand.
You begin with the foundations
You will learn how to work on:
✔️ your own posture, position, and direction of movement;
✔️ light and clear aids;
✔️ forward-downward posture, flexion, and lateral bend;
✔️ the stepping under of the hind legs;
✔️ crossing over and mobilising the pelvic area;
✔️ balance on circles and straight lines;
✔️ and enlarging and decreasing the circle.
This creates the foundation for the balance, body control, and communication you will need in all the exercises that follow.
From this foundation, you progress towards:
✔️ leg-yield;
✔️ shoulder-out;
✔️ shoulder-in;
✔️ travers and renvers;
✔️ half-pass;
✔️ lateral movements on straight lines and circles;
✔️ lateral movements in walk and trot;
✔️ working pirouettes;
✔️ the working pirouette in trot;
✔️ collected trot in hand;
✔️ and collected canter in hand.
You will not only learn what the finished exercise should look like.
You will learn which foundations need to be in place, how to explain the aids to your horse, and how to break each exercise down into small, understandable steps.
This means that something which may feel impossible now can later become a logical continuation of everything you have built together.
Not a Collection of Separate Exercises, but a Complete Training Method
A horse can perform an exercise without it genuinely contributing to their gymnastic development.
They can move sideways without the correct hind leg stepping underneath. They can bend their neck without the lateral bend continuing through their body. And they can walk on a circle while still falling over one shoulder.
That is why this programme teaches you to look beyond the basic shape of an exercise.
You will learn to pay attention to:
✔️ flexion and lateral bend;
✔️ the position of the forehand and hindquarters;
✔️ the stepping under of the hind legs;
✔️ shoulder balance;
✔️ relaxation through the topline;
✔️ energy and tempo;
and the quality of your horse's response to your aids.
You will become increasingly able to recognise what your horse needs to work on and which next step is appropriate at that moment.
This does not simply give you more exercises to choose from. It gives you the knowledge you need to genuinely help your horse develop.
Why You Receive Lifetime Access
You cannot learn the complete art of Work in Hand in seven days. Nor do you need to complete this programme within a few weeks.
Perhaps you are currently working on the first lateral bend, while a year from now you may be practising lateral movements in trot. An exercise that is still too difficult today may later be exactly what your horse needs.
That is why you receive lifetime access to the complete programme.
You can:
✔️ watch the lessons as many times as you like;
✔️ spend longer on an exercise when needed;
✔️ return to the foundations;
✔️ add a new step at a later stage;
✔️ continue using the programme throughout your horse's development;
✔️ and apply your knowledge to another horse in the future.
You are not only receiving the lessons you need today.
The complete path is ready for you, allowing the programme to continue growing with you and your horse.
You Do Not Need to Train Every Day
You decide how often you work with the programme.
A training session does not need to be long. Sometimes you may only practise your horse's response to your posture or ask for a few good steps. That can be enough for that day.
It is not about completing as many lessons as possible. It is about the quality with which you and your horse learn to understand each step.
Because you receive lifetime access, you can follow the programme at a pace that is achievable for you and appropriate for your horse.
